Hofstra University Men’s Soccer Head Coach Richard Nuttall and Women’s Soccer Head Coach Simon Riddiough combine forces to provide the most positive soccer training experience on Long Island. The camp is designed for boys and girls of all skill levels.

Camp Objectives

No matter how far you advance in soccer, your footwork, passing, trapping, heading and shooting can always be refined, and every improvement can make a big difference on the field. This challenging camp will help players understand the fundamentals of soccer using a vast array of game situations. Campers train with not only Richard Nuttall and Simon Riddiough but also many of Hofstra’s Division I players will be on hand. The training doesn’t stop there; many expert coaches from all over the United States and Europe are on-hand as well. These coaches believe that the emphasis on development is by doing, encouraging soccer instincts through enjoyable small-sided games and game-related learning in a positive environment.

*Week 7 is a one-week speed and agility jump start for players’ school/travel team tryouts. We will work on increasing psychological game preparation skills along with highlighting ball- related fitness with small-sided game play. Players will be challenged both technically and tactically in order to reach their full potential.

What to Wear/Bring

Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, athletic shorts, shin guards and soccer cleats or sneakers. Campers must also bring a water bottle. Bathing suit and towel will be needed on assigned swim days. Please label all items clearly with first and last name. Hofstra is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Don’t miss the opportunity to improve your soccer skills with Long Island’s top collegiate instructors. This is an educational experience combined with soccer participation!
