Executive Standing

The Executive Standing, Master of Science in Health Informatics program requires six fewer credits than the two-year program. Your prior academic degree and professional experience will determine your specific course requirements (HIT 300A and HIT 300B cannot be waived).

Executive Standing, Master of Science in Health Informatics - Clinical Track (6 s.h.)

If you have a background in an appropriate health field, you can prepare to become a leader in health informatics more quickly through the executive standing, master's degree program. The program is designed for:

  • Experienced clinicians or public health professionals who already hold health-related master or doctoral degrees
  • Those with doctoral degrees in related fields who want to become teachers and researchers in health informatics.

Executive Standing, Master of Science in Health Informatics – IT Track (6 s.h.)

If you have a background in an appropriate IT field, you can prepare to become a leader in health informatics more quickly through the executive standing, master's degree program. The program is designed for:

  • Experienced IT professionals who already hold IT-related master or doctoral degrees.
  • Those with doctoral degrees in related fields who want to become teachers and researchers in health informatics.

Transfer Credit

At the discretion of the program director, students may transfer up to 9 semester hours of equivalent graduate courses from a comparable graduate program at an accredited higher education institution.

Course work must have been completed within the last five years with minimum grades of B.
