Steven A. Stella, JD MA

Steven A. Stella is a graduate of St. John’s University. Steven earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration with a top GPA of 3.9/4.0 cumulative Index. Upon graduation from St. John’s University Steven pursued his Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and graduated from Hofstra University with a 3.8/4.0 cumulative Index. After completing his Master’s Degree Steven thought it beneficial to tie in both his real world Hospital Administration background as well as the knowledge he obtained in his Masters studies with a Law Degree. Steven graduated Hofstra School of Law with a concentration in Health Care Law where he graduated with top honors.

Steven held several jobs in the Hospital Industry while enrolled in his Masters studies as well as in Law School. Steven worked at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (prior to its merger with the North Shore System) in the Office of Grants and Contracts. Here he analyzed and coordinated efforts of the various Department Directors in the review, monitoring and editing of ongoing research protocols this also included the function of obtaining and writing grants for the hospital in an effort to secure funding for a host of initiatives. Later Steven secured a position with the North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System in-house legal Department.

For the past twenty Steven has worked for Jzanus in several Executive roles. This includes President of the company’s Joint Commission Accredited Home Care Operation as well as the company’s Managed Care Services division. Presently, Steven is the Chief Operating Officer. Here he oversees the day to day operations of the revenue cycle firm from an internal operational standpoint. The goal here is to ensure that all Departments Medicaid, Inpatient Collections, Outpatient Collections are all running in sync with our Information Technology Department. Steven is also very well versed in the company’s Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Compliance Plan.

Steven is an active member in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, as well as the Metropolitan Association of Hospital Administrators.. Steven sits on the Board of the Columbus Foundation as well as Futures in Education.
