Music Education Financial Aid

Hofstra makes financial aid available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and employment opportunities. Like other universities that subscribe to the policies of the Federal Student Aid Programs, we believe that eligibility for scholarship aid should depend on the student’s achievement and promise. Such aid may also depend on the relative financial need of the student and his or her family. Scholarship Information:

The Department of Music at Hofstra University provides a number of Grants-in-Aid, ranging in total value from $5,000 to over $30,000 over a maximum of five (5) years, to undergraduates who demonstrate exceptional musical ability. While there are no restrictions as to the performance media, priority will be given to performers most needed by departmental organizations. All prospective students wishing to compete for a Grant-in-Aid must be sure to audition before February 28.
