Networking and Enterprise Applications Labs:

Major courses are taught in two dedicated IT laboratories. A comprehensive plan is underway to considerably upgrade these labs to adequately support various certificate programs including Cisco and SAP.

Courses in local area networks, network security and defense, and wireless networks are taught in the Networking and Security Laboratory. Students receive instruction and hands-on experience in the network hardware including routers and switches, and software including Microsoft Server Network Operating Systems, Linux, and wireless systems. In addition they learn how to build local area networks and high-end servers, and receive instruction in Network Security and Vulnerability Management.

The second of the technology labs is the Enterprise Applications Laboratory which supports instruction in contemporary software solutions. IT topics supported by this lab include database, web design, enterprise systems, and project management among others. The department provides this software through its membership in the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance, Oracle Academic Network, IBM Academic Initiative, and the SAP University Alliance.

Our dedicated labs are unique resources which allow us to deliver state-of-the art instruction and give our students a competitive advantage in the market place.
