Welcome to the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. The Zarb School just celebrated its 50th Anniversary, a true testament to the dedicated team of faculty, students, alumni and administrators who continue to move the school forward each and every day. This progress has also been recognized through our rankings, as national recognition for Zarb continues to grow every year.
I am extremely proud to be at the Zarb School, during this celebratory time. It has been my pleasure to be part of the Hofstra University community for over 40 years including my role as the Zarb School Dean before spending 25 years as the Provost and Senior Vice President of Hofstra University. It is now especially fulfilling to be back at the Zarb School during this momentous time of change. Over the past year, the Zarb School and the University have launched several exciting business related initiatives, including a dual degree program with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China, a Center for Entrepreneurship including an incubator, and a student managed investment fund. I am also pleased to announce that the Frank G. Zarb School of Business faculty, students, administrators and staff will be housed in a brand new, state-of-the-art 52,000 square foot building, to be completed in 2018, equipped with a comprehensive behavioral science (market research) lab, an enhanced start-up business incubator, and faculty offices in addition to multiple areas for student independent and collaborative study space, as well as lounge areas.
This is certainly an exciting time for the Zarb School but we would not be where we are today, without our dedicated network of over 30,000 alumni. You symbolize the Zarb School's legacy and commitment to the future. We gratefully acknowledge your involvement and support which help us deliver an engaging and comprehensive academic experience.
We look forward to working with faculty, students and alumni as we embark on these major initiatives and create an even more distinctive business education experience. I extend my best wishes to the entire Zarb family and look forward to another successful year in educating the leaders of tomorrow.
With warm regards,
Herman A. Berliner, PhD
