Special Program Offerings

4+4 BS-BA/MD
This highly selective dual-degree program offers a direct path from a Hofstra undergraduate degree to an MD. Students choose from several majors that meet medical school prerequisites and receive personalized academic advising. Upon earning a bachelor’s degree with a strong GPA, students will matriculate in the MD program at the Donald and
Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Learn more.

Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (BA)/SpeechLanguage Pathology (MA)
This dual-degree program allows students to earn a BA and MA in fiveand-a-half years. Students begin in the undergraduate major and may apply to the graduate phase by sophomore year. The graduate phase includes clinical work at Hofstra’s on-campus SpeechLanguage-Hearing Clinic. Learn more.

Rabinowitz Honors College (RHC)
Designed for high-achieving students, RHC offers an interdisciplinary honors curriculum compatible with any major. Students benefit from a close-knit academic community, faculty mentoring,

Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a direct-entry program that combines classroom learning at Hofstra with handson clinical experience through Northwell Health. Students begin working in
healthcare settings as early as their first year, supported by expert faculty and staff.

Physician Assistant Studies
This five-and-a-half-year dual-degree program leads to both a BS and MS. Students must first complete the three-year preprofessional (undergraduate) phase, including all prerequisite courses, followed by a graduatelevel professional phase focused on clinical practice and patient care in partnership with Northwell Health. Program for Academic Learning Skills (PALS)
PALS is a fee-based support program for students with specific learning disabilities and/or ADHD. It offers individualized, weekly sessions with a learning specialist focused on educational challenges, study skills, and learning strategies. Legal Education Accelerated Program (LEAP)
This dual-degree program allows students to complete requirements for both a BA and JD in six years. Students choose from more than 40 majors in Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. After successfully completing the undergraduate requirements of the first three years, students begin JD studies at Hofstra’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. Learn more.

New Opportunities at Hofstra (NOAH)
The NOAH Scholars program provides academic support, financial aid, and educational enrichment opportunities to New York state residents from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who attend Hofstra University. NOAH Scholars receive comprehensive advising, leadership development, career planning, and personal support throughout their time at Hofstra.
