In-Person Information Session and Campus Tour
Meet an admission counselor, learn more about the admission process at Hofstra, and take a guided walking tour of campus led by one of our Hofstra Pride Guides.
Reservations are required; please book early. Please note, at the present time, residence halls will be shown during your visit.
Monday-Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., during the summer.
Fall Open House
Hofstra invites you to attend an in-person guided campus tour to learn about admission to Hofstra, meet current students, explore the campus, tour a residence hall and discover the academic and extracurricular opportunities Hofstra has to offer. College for a Day
Discover Hofstra on days when many high schools are closed! Take an in-person guided campus tour with one of our Pride Guides (student ambassadors)! Your visit will include a welcome from the office of admission, an opportunity to hear from your area of academic interest, tour our exciting and innovative facilities, and see a residence hall. Combined, this visit will help you discover if Hofstra is a place you can call home.

Specialty Tours
As you search for your university, you may want to see facilities that are specific to your major in additional to a general campus tour. We offer special facility tours for business, communication, engineering and computer science, health professions and human services, nursing, performing arts, physician assistant studies and science at the follow events. Hear directly from the Zarb School of Business on the advantages of our flexible 36-credit MBA, and available concentrations and delivery options, such as the Online MBA, Executive MBA (EMBA), or hybrid New York City MBA, as well as eight MS program specializations. Cheerleading
The Hofstra Cheerleading program is a nationally recognized co-ed squad. The squad promotes school spirit for the University's athletic teams, such as the men's and women's basketball teams. Cheer performances are also requested at University festivals and admission events. See when tryouts will be held.
Dance
An audition is required for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance. Additionally, students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance will audition for placement in technique classes, and to determine Activity Grant awards. Get more information.
Dance Team
The Hofstra University Dance Team is an exciting and competitive collegiate dance team that performs at University athletic events as well as other events held on and off campus. See when tryouts will be held.
Drama
A portfolio review is required for students interested in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Production. Additionally, students interesting in pursuing a BFA in Performance or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theater Arts will audition to determine initial offerings of Activity Grants to first-year students. Music
All students wishing to declare a major in Music Performance, Music Merchandising, Music Education, Music Theory/Composition, Jazz and Commercial Music, or Music History/Literature must audition for acceptance into these programs. Get more information.
