Admitted Students Can Visit Hofstra In-Person or Virtually

Admitted student events are back for our newly admitted students at Hofstra. Join us for our opportunities below and check back on this page for updates on more upcoming admitted student days this spring!

GROUP INFORMATION SESSION AND TOUR

Guided Campus Tour*

Take a campus tour with one of our Pride Guides (student tour guides) in small groups of up to five families as we guide you through Hofstra's campus!

Highlights of our information session will be emailed to you ahead of your visit. Upon arrival, you'll tour campus with one of our Pride Guides (student tour guides). During your campus tour, Pride Guides will point out to you Hofstra’s Student Center, Axinn Library, and many of the academic facilities available to undergraduate students. Combined, this visit will help you discover if Hofstra is a place you can call home.

Please note your tour will be an outdoor walking tour. Residence halls will not be available as part of your tour. We will use virtual options to show you these spaces.

During the spring semester, we will only be able to show the inside of buildings on weekday afternoons and during all tours on Saturdays and Sundays – when classes are not in session. During other tour times, we will use virtual options to show you these spaces.

Hofstra University is offering a very limited number of campus tours at this time. Reservations are required. Walk-in tours will not be available.

The most important thing each of us can do to ensure a successful visit is follow the University’s health and safety requirements, which include mask-wearing and maintaining a physical distance of at least six feet whenever possible. Visitors, who are visiting New York for more than 24 hours, from areas outside the contiguous states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont, must adhere to the New York State Travel Advisory. Being a part of the Hofstra Pride is a responsibility, and we expect every member of the community and our visitors to do their part to keep all of us safe by following the guidelines outlined at hofstra.edu/safestart. Upon arrival, all visitors must complete the mandatory health screening. If you answer yes to any question in the screening, you will not be permitted on the Hofstra campus.

Self-Guided Tour*

During your self-guided campus tour you will be given a campus visit brochure that includes a self-guided tour map on the back. Scan the QR code on the map to pair your outdoor walking tour with an audio tour and multimedia to peruse at each building. Please note that you will not be able to enter buildings during your tour.
