Successful "Feast in The Middle East" (Fourth in a series of "Diversity Dinners") held in the Department – October 10, 2013
On Thursday evening, October 10th, the Get Global Student Club hosted its fourth "Diversity Dinner" here in the Department of Global Studies and Geography, “Feast in the Middle East.” Global Studies major, Robert Murphy, who is a professional chef, generously prepared all of the delicious Middle Eastern dishes for the evening. Hofstra students and faculty representing various parts of the Middle East shared their music, culture, and answered questions. “Feast in the Middle East” was enjoyed by some 70 people. With funding provided by the HCLAS Dean's Office as well as the Office of the Provost, this series of diversity events aims to broaden understanding across cultural divides and to foster student curiosity in our increasingly multicultural world.
