We are pleased to announce that Sage Davino, a junior majoring in Global Studies and Sociology, has been awarded the Masaharu G. Inaba Endowed Memorial Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year.  Besides being an excellent student Ms. Davino has also been very active in our Department, where she has served as a Peer-Teacher, volunteered as a spokesperson for the European Odyssey at various Study Abroad Fairs, and has working as a Student Aide in the Global Studies office.

Donated by the Inaba family in memory of the late Dr. George Inaba, who taught Geography at Hofstra from 1959 to 1993, this scholarship award amount ranges between $5,000 and $6,000.  It is awarded annually to Global Studies and Geography majors and is in addition to any other financial awards that a student receives.
