Dr. Grant Saff has been elected as a Regional Councilor of the Association of American Geographers (AAG) - December 2011

The AAG, founded in 1904, is the world's largest academic geography association and the 9 Regional Councilors serve on the National Governing Council. For 100 years the AAG has contributed to the advancement of geography. Its members from more than 60 countries share interests in the theory, methods, and practice of geography, which they cultivate through the AAG's Annual Meeting, two scholarly journals (Annals of the Association of American Geographers and The Professional Geographer), and the monthly AAG Newsletter. Saff will represent the Middle States Division, comprising Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. His term is 2012-2015.
