Hofstra has many offerings to improve your work/life balance. Whether it be personal interests or family needs, this balance is increasingly important. Hofstra's Work/Life programs are designed to help you balance the many responsibilities associated with both your personal life and your work life -- to help you feel less stressed, more positive, and more productive.
Hofstra University is proud to offer its faculty, staff, and students access to 14 free electric vehicle charging stations. These stations are controlled by ChargePoint software and are commercial Level 2 charging stations. For more information, visit Hofstra Electric Car Charging Stations.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a network of free services provided by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (formerly Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield) to help full-time employees and their household members cope with issues experienced in everyday life. Services include short-term confidential counseling and wellness resources.
Services available through the EAP include:
-Face-to-face counseling sessions or online visits via LiveHealth Online (up to three visits per issue)
-Confidential 24/7 counseling and referral
-Child care, adoption, and elder care services

Hofstra employees have free access to the Fitness Center, including group exercise classes, cardio and strength training equipment, basketball hoops, and indoor track. The Hofstra University Museum of Art advances knowledge and understanding through experiences with authentic works of art in varied media dating from the ancient to the contemporary. The Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center at Hofstra University includes a fully licensed early childhood program and four clinics:
