Settling into Nature: La Bassée, a Contemporary Landscape in France
Photographs by Mikael Levin

Emily Lowe Gallery

May 4 - July 30, 2010

Internationally renowned photographer Mikael Levin pairs his photographs of the rural French landscape with excerpts from texts that influence looking at and interpreting the contemporary landscape. These texts are meant to suggest a broader reading of the photographs, relating the specific to the general, the local to the global.

Curated by Hofstra University Professor Dan Devine.
