Pinetum

A Pinetum is a collection of conifers which are trees that produce seeds in cones rather than in flowers. Conifers have become known as “evergreens” because they appear to always have needles (leaves); however, they do lose their needles, but just not all at the same time. The Pinetum supports six families of conifers including the Yew, Pine Cypress, Swamp Cypress and Cow’s Tall Pine Family. It contains over 110 varieties.
