Studio C is a one-story, 750-square-foot "black box" studio with 50 dimmers. Studio C is often used for insert shoots and classroom space.
The expert engineers at The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, along with first class vendors (Wheatstone, RCS, Comrex, Telos, Multi-Cam, and others), have re-defined “radio” studios. They built five state-of-the-art multi-media studios capable of creating top tier audio content, video content, and social media content.
NewsHub is a state-of-the-art newsroom and collaboration space containing Avid Media Composer non-linear digital editing software with ENPS integration, as well as the latest and most useful information management and handling tools. Large screen displays provide current news and resource materials, while cross-media information coordination systems help manage content.
The facility has high-speed networking capabilities and a robust digital infrastructure that keep student reporters and Herbert School students actively engaged in news acquisition, creation, and collaboration. The NewsHub is often used a resource for students working on The Long Island Advocate, an online student-run news site.
