Blue and Gold Leadership Series
The Blue & Gold Leadership Program equips students with opportunities to acquire and implement leadership skills to enhance professional competence while documenting achievements that can lead to career, service, or leadership advancement. Student Leadership and Engagement (SLE) prepares students to serve in significant campus and community leadership roles, by providing leadership training. Leadership development has been identified as one of our strategic initiatives for student development. While the idea of leadership development encompasses a broad range of activities (both current and prospective), a foundational program for this initiative is the Blue and Gold Leadership Series. The leadership series targets students at varying stages of their college career.

Gold Leadership Program
Experiential Leadership Program (Targets upperclassmen who may self apply or be nominated by faculty or staff. Resume and letter of recommendation required)
Participants in the Gold Leadership Program will be accepted at the end of the Spring semester, for a year-long experience that commences at the start of the following Fall. Throughout the academic year, participants will belong to an intimate cohort of student leaders that will dialogue bi-weekly about leadership. Through reflection, experiential learning, and mentoring, graduates of the Gold Leadership Program will be able to define leadership, pinpoint the kind of leader they are, and articulate how they intend to lead ethically, competently, confidently, and openly in the global world after college. Each participant will be paired with a staff or faculty mentor for the duration of the program. The participants in their Spring semester will also be charged with mentoring the Blue participants and planning the Spring Midnight Run which will take place in May. The experience will culminate with Gold presentations that showcase each cohort member's experience and growth throughout the program.
Gold Leadership Applications for the '17-18’ cohort will be available in April 2017.
