EQUITY AND INCLUSION

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Circle Symposium Fall 2026

Theme: Innovative Curriculum and Inclusive Classrooms

Presented by the Office of Equity and Inclusion

Symposium Date: October 15, 2026

The Office of Equity and Inclusion invites, faculty, staff and students to submit proposals for the Circle Symposium Fall 2026, themed Innovative Curriculum and Inclusive Classrooms. This year’s symposium seeks to highlight the many ways teaching and learning can evolve to meet the needs of learners in a rapidly changing world. We welcome proposals that explore innovative classrooms in the broadest sense, not only the physical spaces, but as dynamic environments shaped by pedagogy, technology, collaboration, and community engagement. Sessions may examine approaches such as interdisciplinary course design, culturally responsive teaching, experiential and community-based learning, accessible digital tools, and other strategies that expand how knowledge is shared and applied.

Proposals should also consider the learners’ active role in the education space. We encourage submissions that address the many ways people learn, through dialogue practice, research, storytelling, creativity, and critical inquiry. Demonstrations of how inclusive and innovative practices can foster belonging, engagement, and success for all learners are also welcome.

Submissions may include papers, panels, roundtables, original videos, discussions, or workshops.

  • Inclusive intelligence: Technology, AI, and inclusive learning
