The first week launch, October 13, 2025 is for rooms reservations for check in for Friday, October 17, 2025.
WHY the change? Re-evaluating our processes and staffing availability for customer service:
- To give all commuter students a fair opportunity to reserve rooms for that period
- To allow custodial staff to appropriately clean the rooms after checkout
- To permit our team to gage the flow of the process and program as we learn the needs of our commuter students as they relate to this program
- To meet your goals and the University’s goals.
- A room is $45 per night, per person
- There is an $8 additional charge should you wish to have a room with a microfridge in it to utilize for your stay, therefore those rooms are $53 per night, per person
- There are 15 rooms with a microfridge, 20 rooms without a microfridge
- All rooms are single
- There are communial bathrooms on the floor
- The rooms are located in Enterprise Hall
Hofstra will offer a bedding package that includes, a pillow, a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a pillow case, a blanket and two towels. This is included in the cost of the room, but you are more than welcome to bring your own bedding supplies.
The bed is the standard Twin XL size.
When your stay is over, all of the bedding and pillow must be deposited into the bin on the main floor in Enterprise. Look for a bin labeled Deposit Used Linens Here. Otherwise a fee of $25.00 will be imposed for the cost of the bedding.
No guests or pets are allowed at this time
We will revisit all policies as the program continues and we learn the needs of our commuter students as it relates to this program.
Students may park in any lot nearest to Enterprise Hall, as long as you are not in specific designated spaces, i.e. Handicapped (if you are not), University tiered spaces, RD spaces, etc.
Any student needing to cancel a room reservation must email Reslife@hofstra.edu at least 24 hours before the date of your room reservation in order to receive a refund.
