We want every member of the Hofstra community to be ready for the future. That’s why Hofstra has partnered with various technology leaders to launch initiatives that give all 10,000+ students and many faculty and administrators access to powerful AI tools and training. Hofstra is the first institution on Long Island to launch ChatGPT Edu campus-wide.

Why Use Your Hofstra ChatGPT Edu Account?

Hofstra ChatGPT Edu is a secure, education-focused version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT that the University is offering to all students, faculty, and administrators. Unlike the public version, prompts and chats remain private and are not shared outside Hofstra. OpenAI also does not use data entered into Hofstra ChatGPT Edu to train its models. By providing this tool campuswide, the University is helping the community to build AI literacy and prepare for a workforce where AI skills are increasingly essential.

“We’re always thinking, ‘How do we develop tech agility in our students?’ And the way that you build that agility is by exposing learners to all different types of technology.”

– Janet Lenaghan, Dean, Zarb School of Business
