Early Arrivals/Trucks

Temporary credentials and parking permits for media trucks are necessary to access the site. Anyone working onsite on Friday 10/12 or Saturday, 10/13 must use the temporary credential. These credentials and all parking permits may be picked up at the Student Center, in the Satellite Media Center, adjacent to the Credentialing Center. Please call 516-463-2206 beginning Thursday, 10/10, for more information.

If you are bringing a production or satellite truck: your order will be checked at this point to ensure you have a parking space pre-ordered, or you may be required to make arrangements before getting a spot.

If your organization needs to drop off equipment, your truck may get a temporary access pass. The truck must stop at the Credentialing Center to obtain a temporary truck permit. Please call 516-463-6842 to make arrangements.

How to get to the credentialing center (THROUGH 10/15)

From the Meadowbrook, exit M4W on Hempstead Turnpike. At the third light, enter Hofstra University's main entrance. Make a left into the temporary parking lot between our Student Center and Bill of Rights Residence Hall. Credentialing will be in the Multipurpose Room in the Student Center. After you receive your credentials, you must park at the Mitchel Field parking facility and take the shuttle bus to the debate site.

From Sunday through Tuesday, all shuttles will be making stops at the Student Center for credentialing as well as the Media Filing Center, about ¼ mile away.

If you have taken Hofstra's train station shuttle (the "Blue Beetle") you will be dropped off at a student gate on Oak Street. Ask the Public Safety Officer on duty how to walk to the Credentialing Center, it will be a few hundred yards from the gate.

How to get to the credentialing center (ON 10/16 DEBATE DAY)

On Tuesday, October 16, you must park or be dropped off at the Mitchel Field parking facility and take the shuttle bus designated for those who have to pick up credentials. You can then walk from the Student Center's credentialing facility to the debate site (about 1/4 mile east.) There is no onsite temporary parking available at the credentialing center on October 16.
