Bio

Michelle Anne Hololob MS, ATR-BC, LCAT, ATCS is a Creative Arts Therapist currently working in Adult Inpatient Psychiatry at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC). There she provides individual and group psychotherapy as well supervises Interns and Practicum students from various graduate art therapy programs. Michelle also supervises graduates working towards licensure (within the JHMC Art Therapy Extern/ Post Graduate program) and is a part of the Hospital faculty that educates medical students and Psychiatric PGYII Residents about art therapy. She started an annual art exhibit at the hospital honoring patients’ artwork and Creative Arts Therapy week. Michelle has had experience in outpatient and inpatient settings and has worked with people dealing with acute and chronic mental illness. She served as New York Art Therapy Association (NYATA) Student Liaison Board Member from 2009-2015. Michelle is a recipient of the Pam Clark Distinguished Art Therapy Award. Her private practice work as focused on stability, self- expression and continually improving insight. An active painter, mixed media artist, Michelle is often in the middle of a project.
