Bio

Gioia Ciani has over 11 years as a full-time faculty member for occupational therapy programs, with experiences as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Program Director of occupational therapy programs.
Over seventeen years clinical experience in occupational therapy practice across patient populations and practice settings including: early intervention, preschool/elementary/high school, acute inpatient rehab, sub-acute rehab, and home care. Currently working as clinical specialist with the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of Greater New York

Neuroscience, Foundations of Occupational Therapy Practice, Cognition, Geriatrics, Assisitive Technology

Research Interests

Neurorehabilitation/Progressive Neurological Conditions, Geriatrics, Palliative Care, Education, and Issues related to caregivers
