Mid-Semester / Late-Semester Courses

Mid-Semester Courses

Twelve new 3-credit courses are scheduled to begin the week of March 7, 2022 The registration period for the 12 mid-semester courses begins March 2nd at 1 p.m. and ends March 9th:

  • March 2 – March 6: For timely processing, students should register for the mid-semester classes as well as drop existing any class on the portal.
  • March 7 – March 9:  Any registration changes made during these dates will need to be done with a registration form, which should be mailed to registrar@hofstra.edu.

Please note: in order to be treated as a class swap, the mid-semester class MUST be added at the same time a full-term course is dropped. Any transactions not completed at the same time will not be considered a swap and additional tuition charges may be incurred.

Students may register for any of the above-listed courses for no additional tuition up to 17 credits total; if they go over 17 semester hours, they will be charged the additional tuition.

If you are interested in taking a mid-semester course and it has filled to capacity, DO NOT write to the instructor or department chair to request an override. Instead complete the survey at the link below. Provided you are not already registered in a mid-semester course, we will notify you if any mid-semester courses are added to the schedule.
