Commencement Tickets

Guests arriving to the Mack Sports Complex are encouraged to arrive early and travel light. All guests entering the complex will be subject to routine security measures including metal detector screening and bag searches. The Mack Sports Complex does not provide an area to check bags, coats, or any other personal belongings.

Entrances, which will be clearly marked, have been designated to assist with the flow of guests entering the building.

Entrance A – Handicap accessible
Entrances B, C, D, and E – General public

Guests are reminded that proper and appropriate conduct is expected at all times.


TICKET INFORMATION AND ADDITIONAL TICKET LOTTERY PROCESS – UNDERGRADUATE ONLY (SPRING COMMENCEMENT)

Each spring undergraduate will receive 6 assigned seat tickets.

Requests for additional tickets can be obtained by placing your name on a lottery list during academic attire distribution Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14 and May 15, from 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the lower level of the Bookstore in the Mack Student Center.

Undergraduates may request as many additional tickets as desired BUT when the lottery is conducted, each recipient will only be awarded 2 tickets. Once everyone on the list has been awarded 2 tickets and additional tickets remain, then the lottery will be conducted again using the same method only 2 tickets will be awarded.

Lottery winners will be notified via their pride account on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

Lottery winners must either respond to the email that they will take the tickets. If there is no response within 2 hours, the tickets will be awarded to the next person on the lottery list. All tickets must be picked up by the requesting student at the reception desk located in the David S. Mack Student Center, room 112 by 5pm on Friday, May 17, 2019.

There will also be a live webcast of all the commencement ceremonies on www.hofstra.edu/commencement.

Requests for additional tickets can be obtained by placing your name on a lottery list during academic attire distribution on Wednesday and Thursday, December 11 and December 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the lower level of the Bookstore in the Mack Student Center.

All Midyear graduates may request as many additional tickets as desired BUT when the lottery is conducted, each recipient will only be awarded 2 tickets. Once everyone on the list has been awarded 2 tickets and additional tickets remain, then the lottery will be conducted again using the same method only 2 tickets will be awarded.

Lottery winners will be notified by EMAIL on their Hofstra account on Friday, December 13, 2019 after 10 a.m.

Lottery winners must either respond to the email that they will take the tickets. If there is no response within 2 hours, the tickets will be awarded to the next person on the lottery list.
