Admission Workshop: Why Hofstra?

This session is designed to help you understand what college at Hofstra will really be like, especially if you’re the first in your family to take this step. Our Admission team will explain how students are supported academically and personally, how faculty and advisors help you navigate your options, and what hands-on experiences prepare you for your future career. We’ll walk through the many resources available to you and answer any questions you may have, big or small. It’s a great way to see how Hofstra can be a place where you feel supported and confident.

Admission Workshop: Q&A with Admission

Join us for an open virtual Q&A designed to help you and your family get the answers you need as you take your next steps. A member of the Admission team will be available to talk through any questions—about academics, student life, financial aid, campus resources, or what it’s like to join the Hofstra community. No question is too big or too small. We’re here to help you feel confident and supported as you explore whether Hofstra is the right fit for you.

In the recently published book Black Space: Negotiating Race, Diversity, and Belonging in the Ivory Tower (The American Campus), author Sherry L. Deckman talks about the ways campus communities including faculty, administrators, and students themselves can converse while working towards continuing to build inclusive campus environments.
