APPLICATION PROCESS

UNITED BY
THE SAME GOAL:
STUDENT SUCCESS

Ready to take the next step? We’ve made the application process simple. Choose the type of student you are below to get started. Our team is here to help you at every step—from selecting the right application to submitting the required documents.

You’re a first-year student if you will graduate from high school in 2026 (regardless of total college credits completed while in high school), or you have recently graduated from high school and haven’t enrolled at a college, university, or any other institution after high school.

Hofstra offers two options:

  • Early Action (priority application review that lets you find out sooner if you’re admitted. It’s non-binding, so you can still consider all your options.)
  • Rolling Admission (apply anytime—we review applications as they come in)

Hofstra is test optional. You decide whether to submit SAT or ACT scores.
