Diversity & Inclusion
Hofstra University promotes an institutional culture that values and supports diversity and inclusion. The Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO) serves as the primary advocate for the University’s overall diversity and inclusion agenda by developing and facilitating strategies, decision-making, priority setting, and actions necessary to advance diversity and inclusion at all levels of the University. This includes establishing and chairing a University’s Council on Diversity and Inclusion.
Building a University for All of Us
Hofstra is committed to diversity in all aspects and representations. Working to understand and respect that which makes each of us unique is an essential part of higher education. Hofstra welcomes and honors all who come to us and we strive to continue to provide support and create a conducive space for teaching, learning, and living.
A diverse and free community is critical to the success of a great university, and Hofstra University has long had a sustained commitment to fostering an atmosphere of tolerance, understanding, and interconnection with each other and with the world around us - local, national, and international.
