Mission
The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) works to drive an equitable and inclusive culture for students, faculty, and staff. We aim to educate, advocate, engage, and empower the Hofstra community by cultivating partnerships and resources to create and sustain a diverse culture of belonging. Leveraging diversity across all spectrums is how we all achieve success.
Goals
- Identify and implement specific initiatives, resources, strategies, policies, and practices that promote an inclusive campus and community environment.
- To promote the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that they are embedded in the framework of the institution’s vision and mission.
Student Belonging Survey — Your Voice! Your Hofstra!
OEI is excited to announce the launch of the Student Sense of Belonging Survey. A table will be set up in the Axinn Library breezeway on Monday, November 3, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. All students who complete the survey may enter to win prizes and gift cards.
DiscoverEmployee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are groups of employees who voluntarily come together to provide support and engagement. ERGs offer a chance to meet colleagues, increase cultural competency, and make a positive impact in the campus community.
