Is your child a straight A student, struggling to keep up, or maybe somewhere in between. Whichever one of these groups your child falls in, chances are that they are often exhausted by too much homework, to many activities in their daily schedule, or just overwhelmed by the never ending distractions of iphones, and video games. At Hofstra Summer Camps Math Skills Program, we provide a chance to refresh on all the work and skills from the prior school year. During the summer months sharpening a young person's academic skills can be imperative toward their development. In this program children are encouraged to develop and sharpen the skills they have learned in the past year in a fun and comfortable environment. Our certified teachers will review and reinforce concepts essential to entering a new school year with confidence. Math doesn't have to be left behind at the classroom door, when the school year ends. Our program will help children return to school in the fall with a larger and sharper skill set then they left with. At the end of the summer your camper will possess a confidence for the upcoming school year they would not otherwise have. Confidence leads to success.
In the hustle and bustle of today's crazy world, parents do not have the same amount of free time as they used to, to spend with their children during the summer. In our program we will teach the campers that the math they use is all around them and the ways to continue to sharpen those skills during their everyday activities. Whether it's a shopping trip, making dinner, going on vacation it is always time to keep those math skills sharp.
